Job Title: Installation / Project Engineer

We’re seeking a qualified electrician with experience in fire, security, home automation, and lighting control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire, security, home automation, and lighting control systems.
- Translating technical drawings and concepts into practical solutions, demonstrating problem-solving skills to efficiently overcome technical challenges.
- Participating occasionally in design and specification tasks.
- Hands-on work involving the use of tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrating excellent organisational and communication skills, particularly when interacting with high-profile clients face-to-face.
- Communicating effectively with team members and other trades on projects.
Requirements:
- Experience in rack design and build.
- Ability to understand and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Proficiency in audiovisual and control system installation and commissioning.
- Experience in fire and security installation and commissioning.
- Competence in network design, installation, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- General service and support of client sites.
- Project management skills, including meeting deadlines.
- Full UK driving license.
- DBS clearance (essential for working in schools).
- Full security clearance due to the nature of the job.

Desirable Skills Requirements:
- Previous experience within a BAFE/SSAIB/NSI accredited company.
- Valid CSCS/ECS card.
- Certification in IPAF/PASMA/Asbestos Awareness.
- Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds or evidence of a proven apprenticeship.
- Experience with Control4 or other control systems is preferred.
