Job Title: Fire and Security Service and Commissioning Engineer (Multi-Disciplined)
Salary Expectation: Uncapped & negotiable – depending on experience
Location: Colne, Northwest
GB Integrated Systems Limited has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and committed individual to join our team as a Systems Service Engineer. (Fire, Security, Communications, Audio Visual, Automation)

Based in the North West, GB Integrated Systems Ltd offers complete design, consultation, supply, installation and maintenance of all types of electronic fire, security, data, audiovisual and automation systems across all market sectors.

The successful candidate will be required to commission, service and repair the systems mentioned above and associated equipment in accordance with current codes of practice, manufacturer’s requirements, and British and European Standards.
Travel and some working away are prerequisites for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Service and maintain a wide range of fire and security equipment.
To extend existing systems as part of small/remedial works packages.
Provide excellent service to customers, building solid working relationships.
Attending urgent service calls to meet our SLAs.
Fault finding and problem-solving when attending callouts/breakdowns.
Provide on-site technical support and solutions to customers during reactive and routine visits.
Complete all company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Adhere to health and safety requirements.
Be involved in a 24-hour emergency cover rota. Currently, this equates to 1 week in every 4.
Advise customers on new products and services to improve efficiency.

Essential Skills Requirements

IT Literate, Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and self-motivated
Full UK driving licence.
DBS clearance (for working in schools)
Full Security Screening

Desirable Skills Requirements

Worked within BAFE/ SSAIB/ NSI accredited company.
Valid CSCS / ECS card
IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness certification
BFPSA certification, specific product training and certification.

Colne Soapbox Challenge

We are thrilled to announce that GBIS is participating in The Colne Super Soapbox Race on June 18th, 2023.

Not only is this an exciting event to be involved in; but it’s also an opportunity to give back to the community and we are proud to be supporting our CSR charity, PAC. PAC is a local registered charity dedicated to providing a safe, fulfilled, and aspirational life for individuals, addressing homelessness, domestic abuse, and mental health issues in our community.

At GB HQ we are currently busy with the build of the menace machine, and still deliberating over who will take the wheel!

Control4 Scores at Accrington Stanley Football Club

GB Integrated Systems, as a Control4 Certified Showroom Partner, supplied a turnkey AV solution for the new £2.5m hospitality and conference suite at the WHAM Stadium, managed by Readstone Construction.

The new hospitality suite features state-of-the-art Control4 control systems that provide integrated control for lighting, heating, cooling, CCTV, audio, and more, all accessible from a single user interface. The hospitality team can even manage the system on-the-go via the Control4 mobile App.
