Job Title: Installation / Project Engineer (Multi-Disciplined)

Salary Expectation: Negotiable, depending on experience & capabilities.

GB Integrated Systems Limited is currently experiencing an increase in workload and pipeline projects, presenting an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills to become a valued member of our growing team. This position is ideal for an ambitious professional who is a fully qualified electrician or who specialises in fire, security, and home automation engineering.

Based in the Northwest, GB Integrated Systems Ltd. offers comprehensive services encompassing design, consultation, supply, installation, and maintenance of all types of electronic systems including fire, security, comms, audiovisual, lighting control, and automation systems across all market sectors.

The successful candidate will be tasked with managing, installing, and commissioning systems and associated equipment in compliance with prevailing codes of practice, manufacturer’s specifications, and British and European Standards. Travel and occasional working away from the home are inherent aspects of this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission a diverse range of equipment, including Electronic Fire and Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Audio Visual, and Automation systems.
  • Deliver exemplary service to customers, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Prepare for jobs by reviewing site plans and specifications while ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Conduct fault finding and implement effective problem-solving measures.
  • Offer on-site technical support and propose solutions to customers.
  • Complete all company paperwork promptly and accurately.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance to customers on new products and services aimed at enhancing efficiency.

Essential Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility and self-motivation.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • DBS clearance (essential for working in schools).
  • Full Security clearance due to the nature of the job.

Desirable Skills Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a BAFE/SSAIB/NSI accredited company.
  • Valid CSCS/ECS card.
  • Certification in IPAF/PASMA/Asbestos Awareness.
  • Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds or evidence of a proven apprenticeship.

GB Integrated Systems (GBIS)  directors, Scott Earing and Mike Gray, recently returned from an inspiring visit to Comelit PAC’s headquarters in Italy. This trip offered them a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of Comelit PAC LogiFire fire solutions and familiarise themselves with the latest advancements in technological and compliant fire safety measures.

During their visit, Scott and Mike had the privilege to meet the brains and innovative creators behind Comelit PAC’s  LogiFire fire solutions. This meeting allowed insightful discussions and exchanges, fostering a stronger partnership and collaboration between GBIS and Comelit PAC.

 

In addition to the technical insights gained, the trip also provided a cultural experience, allowing our directors to indulge in the rich local cuisine, exquisite wines, and the vibrant culture of Italy. A particular highlight was their visit to Isola Bella, which added an extra layer of appreciation for Italy’s historical and artistic beauty.

The journey to Comelit PAC’s headquarters has further fueled GBIS’s commitment to delivering first-class fire safety solutions and reinforcing our position as a leading provider in the industry. GB Integrated Systems Limited has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and committed individual to join our expanding team as an Integrated Systems Engineer. (Fire, Security, Comm’s, Audio Visual, Lighting Control & Automation)

Based in the Northwest, GB Integrated Systems Ltd offers full design, consultation, supply, installation, and maintenance of all types of electronic fire, security, data, audio-visual, lighting control and automation systems across all market sectors.

The successful candidate will be required to manage, install, and commission the systems and associated equipment in accordance with current codes of practice, manufacturer’s requirements, British and European Standards.

GB Integrated Systems reach the final in Colne’s first-ever Super Soapbox Challenge.

TeamGBIS had a brilliant day at Colne‘s first-ever Super Soapbox Challenge.  The event, organised by Colne BID, proved to be a massive success and the thousands of spectators who gathered to show their support were certainly kept entertained.

TeamGBIS showcased their mini fleet replica cart and after an impressive couple of runs, the team made it through to the final and finished in an impressive 9th place overall
