Job Title:                              Integrated Systems Engineer (Multi-Disciplined)

Salary Expectation:         Circa £30,000 +/- (Negotiable & depending on experience)

Location:                             Colne, Northwest

GB Integrated Systems Limited has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and committed individual to join our expanding team as an Integrated Systems Engineer. (Fire, Security, Comm’s, Audio Visual, Lighting Control & Automation)

Based in the Northwest, GB Integrated Systems Ltd offers full design, consultation, supply, installation, and maintenance of all types of electronic fire, security, data, audio-visual, lighting control and automation systems across all market sectors.

The successful candidate will be required to manage, install, and commission the systems and associated equipment in accordance with current codes of practice, manufacturer’s requirements, British and European Standards.

Travel and occasional working away are a prerequisite to this role.           

Key Responsibilities

  • Install/ commission our wide range of equipment including Fire and Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Audio Visual, and Automation systems.
  • Provide excellent service to customers, building solid working relationships.
  • Prepare for jobs by reading site plans, specifications and ensuring all equipment is available.
  • Fault finding and problem-solving.
  • Provide on-site technical support and solutions to customers.
  • Complete all company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Advise customers on new products and services to improve efficiency.

Essential Skills Requirements

  • Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and self-motivated
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • DBS clearance (for working in schools)
  • Full Security clearance due to the nature of the job


Desirable Skills Requirements

  • Worked within BAFE/ SSAIB/ NSI accredited company.
  • Valid CSCS / ECS card
  • IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness certification
  • Electrical Qualifications / City & Guilds / Proven Apprenticeship

GB Integrated Systems reach the final in Colne’s first-ever Super Soapbox Challenge.

TeamGBIS had a brilliant day at Colne‘s first-ever Super Soapbox Challenge.  The event, organised by Colne BID, proved to be a massive success and the thousands of spectators who gathered to show their support were certainly kept entertained.

TeamGBIS showcased their mini fleet replica cart and after an impressive couple of runs, the team made it through to the final and finished in an impressive 9th place overall

GBIS would like to extend their thanks for the incredible support they received and thank everyone who generously donated to their chosen charity, PAC – Positive Action In The Community.

  • Provide on-site technical support and solutions to customers during reactive and routine visits.
  • Complete all company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Be involved in a 24-hour emergency cover rota. Currently, this equates to 1 week in every 4.
  • Advise customers on new products and services to improve efficiency.

Colne Soapbox Challenge

We are thrilled to announce that GBIS is participating in The Colne Super Soapbox Race on June 18th, 2023.

 

Not only is this an exciting event to be involved in; but it’s also an opportunity to give back to the community and we are proud to be supporting our CSR charity, PAC. PAC is a local registered charity dedicated to providing a safe, fulfilled, and aspirational life for individuals, addressing homelessness, domestic abuse, and mental health issues in our community.

 

At GB HQ we are currently busy with the build of the menace machine, and still deliberating over who will take the wheel!
