Fire Detection

Fire detection installation across the whole student campus

Chettles Yard consists of newly built student accommodation across several blocks with multiple retail units on the ground floor level. GB Integrated Systems were approached by Barratt’s Electrical & Mechanical to deliver a demanding fire alarm project, as the previous fire company had ceased trading part way through the  job. This threw up many challenges and with only six weeks to hand over, proved at some times almost impossible.

GB Integrated Systems spared no time mobilising both the installation teams and equipment to work alongside the Barratt’s project team to deliver a fully networked and commissioned system. The whole system installed was Advance Electronics control equipment with Hochiki field devices. The team ethics demonstrated throughout were commendable, due to long shifts working seven days per week. The cause and effect programming alone took commissioning engineers over 2 weeks, yet the project was delivered on time and within budget.

Another Seafood transformation at The Inn Harrogate

The Inn South Stainley, previously known as The Red Lion one of the latest acquisitions by The Seafood Pub Company. Situated in a prime location on the A61 between Ripon and Harrogate, The Seafood Pub Company spotted the potential and once the sale had been agreed immediately began an extensive program of refurbishment works. They approached us, for a full design and budget and we set to work on the fire, security, data, AV and lighting control systems without delay.

The job wasn’t without its challenges and with a limited turnaround time it meant all hands on deck, but with sheer hard work and determination, the works were completed on time and within budget. Just some of the systems installed were Honeywell Analogue Addressable fire alarm, monitored Intruder alarm, Nexan’s data backbone, Hikvision CCTV, ACT Access Control, Pro Audiovisual systems, and Rako lighting control.

The transformation from old to new is astonishing and a testament to the Seafood brand.

To provide IP CCTV and hosted video surveillance across the site.

After witnessing one of the largest fires in recent times at Jayplas Leicester, the Company Directors took immediate steps to increase the security and visibility of their operations and assets at all sites. One of the first jobs that GBIS was appointed to undertake was the installation of more than 40 Axis IP cameras across the Derby site. This comprised of Axis P3343VE, Axis P1343, and Axis M1054 all of which are POE and powered from a Netgear Gigabit POE switch’s across the site. The live streaming and event recording medium is all down to HP Client servers running the latest Milestone corporate client Video Management software. GBIS were finally tasked to incorporate “Hosted Video Surveillance” on the 10 most important external cameras so that the client and their security had 24/7 accessibility from anywhere in the world with offsite event recording and notifications. Control 4 Lighting

Lighting up the city.

Tattu – a swanky addition to Manchester’s restaurant scene. This independent family run business founded in 2015 by brothers Adam and Drew Jones offers diners contemporary Oriental cuisine.

Tattu’s award-winning approach to interior design is evident at first glance. The high-end décor features rich brown leather, dark wood panelling and commissioned artwork housed in ornate gold frames. GBIS’s remit was to install and commission the lighting control throughout the whole restaurant and with lighting being the first step to creating the right ambience within a restaurant environment, GBIS knew that it was imperative to get this right, in time for the launch of this exciting eating establishment, where the owner’s intention was to take their diners on a sensory journey from traditional East to modern West.

Team GBIS rose to the occasion and did what they do best. With assiduous attention to detail, GBIS programmed over 100 lighting control circuits with over 5000 lamps using Control4 lighting control technology. The end result is a restaurant that has the capacity to wow the most demanding of diners. Featuring ambient lighting throughout that cleverly highlights key features and design pieces within the restaurant, guests can expect not just great food but a dining experience like no other.

The feature blossom tree is the centre piece and will change seasons throughout the day as the lighting canons change colour, all controlled and programmed by GBIS in-house lighting engineers.

Fence get's the GBIS treatment.

Design, supply, install and commission the fire, security, audiovisual, music and lighting systems throughout the premises.

This former Indian restaurant set in the beautiful Lancashire countryside is the most recent acquisition by The Seafood Pub Company, adding to the company’s portfolio of 8 restaurants across Lancashire.

This modern brassiere and bar offers customers the chance to enjoy a Mediterranean-inspired menu in a relaxed, contemporary setting with Seafood’s signature use of natural materials, muted tones and atmospheric lighting.

GBIS was contracted to design, supply, install and commission the fire, security, audiovisual, music and lighting systems throughout.

It goes without saying that a restaurant needs to be appealing to customers and when installing these systems one of the key challenges is to keep the devices effectively discreet whilst still being fully operational.

Being well-versed in the installation of such systems in this type of environment, the project was completed in an efficient and effective manner, on time and within budget.
